Take away the old man in me
Create in me a new person
looking to You for strength
My old ways are killing me
My old self is fighting

But within me You have planted a seed
A new creation is growing within me
Daily my old self looks to this new creation
With scorn and hate
Still you continue to grow in me
My old self hates this new thing within me
He wants to return to how things used to be
